Dev Update - 2024/12/20

Hey everyone,

last Dev Log this year because there won't be a lot to speak about in the remaining two weeks.
Of course, every free minute will go into working on the game (as in the past 3 years...) but with Christmas and the usual family stuff around it, time will be limited.
I plan to post the next Dev Update in the first week of January.
There will be other posts before that, just not Dev Update :-)
Also, no preview renders this week because it doesn't really make sense. It would be just more of the same and not a lot of static renders done anyway.

Moving on to the actual Dev Update part.
The focus this week was on posing animations and getting some coding work done (not dialogue).
Both fall into the category of "my past-me thought it was a neat idea and my present-me wants to punch my past-me for it."
The coding for it gave me a bit of a headache yesterday but it should work now. My future-me will probably want to slap my present-me when it has to deal with all the errors in the next test build. :-D
I posed enough animations to keep both PCs busy with rendering animations (and my house warm...) through Christmas.

Due to that, writing (dialogue) and static renders only progressed a little bit this week.

The available time for the next two weeks will be spent on wrapping up the last animations and static renders for the current scene so I can hopefully move on to the next scene with the start of the new year.

The numbers for this week:
24 new static renders for a total of 1176
19 new animations for a total of 33
150 new lines in the script file for a total of 3593
