Dev Update - 2023/07/14

Hello everyone,

First a few words about the poll.
I'm pretty happy we already have 23 votes. That's nearly 50% of the possible votes after less than a week.
So thanks to you all for participating. I don't have a deadline for this vote because I wanted to get an idea/feeling for these kinds of things.
So everybody who hasn't voted yet, feel free to do so your vote still counts.
The other thing is, it's pretty clear where we're heading in general.
I expected Helena to be one of the top choices, I didn't expect Anissa to get a whopping 0 votes :-D
But that's exactly the reason for that poll. I don't want to waste my time on things hardly anybody wants.

Back to the development of Chapter 4.
This week's numbers are a little smaller than last week, but I also had to build 2 new environments. That usually takes a while until I have set up the lighting, render settings, background details, etc.
Overall the progress is still pretty good (for me) although early development numbers never feel exciting.
I'm nearly done with the easy parts of Neverwhere and will finish that throughout the weekend (most likely).
After that I'll start working on the complex scene I mentioned last week.
It'll be the first fighting scene since the end of Chapter 1 and it'll be more than that in every regard. Longer, more characters involved, more of everything.
I'm looking forward to working on that scene for quite a while now because it'll be a challenge. For me and the GPU.

We'll see how that goes next week :-)
