Emilia not being able to remember who Regulus even is is such a cool decision by the author. In his final moments he's raging because he thinks she will be rejoicing over avenging Fortuna and Geuse, but it's even worse than that. For all his grandstanding and obsession with etiquette, he failed to leave any impression on Emilia at all.

The 79th spot remained unfilled, he had reserved it for a wife with silver hair. Emilia ends up filling it, but it was originally supposed to be Fortuna
