ONE PIECE MANGA 1104 SPOILER!!!!
Added 2024-01-19 17:53:08 +0000 UTCIf Kuma survives this all ordeal, would that in anyway reduce the greatness of the flashback and overall kumas character?
im stuck in the mud here man, seeing the amount he suffered you would want vegapunk to find some miracle but then again i know him dying after seeing bonney would be like the perfect end right?
feels like atlas carrying him might prove there is a way his life can be prolonged

I feel like if you care more about the art of the story, the structure and continuity, the genius of it, then you might be more inclined for Kuma to die. But if you are immersed in the story first and foremost and you are rooting for your favorites characters to win and succeed and for the scum to get folded, then you want Kuma to survive and live beautiful years with his baby girl Bonney. It depends on your relationship with the material and your personality I guess. I want Kuma to win.

2024-01-21 03:29:54 +0000 UTCIt would add more seriousness to One Piece (Kinemon death situation) and i like it more when you cant predict if characters stay alive or not, but Kuma will probably get a happy ending, and he deserves it obv.

2024-01-20 20:40:36 +0000 UTCI want Kuma to have one final moment of consciousness with Bonney, and so he can see Luffy as Nika. I would love if he had some ultimate move that took his entire lifetime of pain and gave it to Saturn and that's what defeats him.

2024-01-20 18:18:16 +0000 UTCKuma has no reason to die until he has helped Dragon out one last time. Until then, no.

2024-01-20 07:37:19 +0000 UTCHE DESERVES HAPPINESS !

2024-01-20 05:14:58 +0000 UTCI think he will, and it will serve the story well, that being said he absolutely HAS TO see Luffy as Nika before he does

2024-01-20 01:26:42 +0000 UTCI dont think he is gonna die

2024-01-20 01:24:30 +0000 UTCEven if it does, I really want him too survive. KUMACHIIII

2024-01-20 01:24:20 +0000 UTCMe just being biased I'm saying it won't cuz I love his character too much and I really do feel as if Oda should just allow him because he's too goated of a character already so even if he survives nothing rlly changes about my view of him. for me he gotta stay. But that's me honestly being biased I can't say he should die would be too much pain.🤧

2024-01-20 01:17:01 +0000 UTCHe's already dead in the way he can't think or talk or live. He's just a machine now. So actually him coming back to life via his own memories or something related to Nika or Vegapunk would actually be more interesting imo. But I know what you mean, as a character it would be like a masterpiece ending to let him sacrifice himself 1 more time to let Bonney and the strawhats escape egghead But I also wouldn't mind if he just comes back and sees Gear 5 and then happily goes off to live with Bonney just like Kyros and Rebecca. And as a consequence maybe he loses his powers. That would be the ending he truly deserves as a character.

2024-01-19 23:45:54 +0000 UTCSuch a hard question. I think ultimately he has to exit like the Big Homie Ace! An absolute LEGEND who left his mark by defending his loved ones till the bitter end. I also agree that having Kuma around long enough to witness Luffy As the Warrior or Liberation alongside Bonney would be the perfect final memory for them both, I hope we get it. P.S You nailed that comparison Khan! How sick is the mirroring of Luffy being the first to ever punch a celestial dragon and Kuma being the first to punch a Gorosei! That Panel was like a beautiful throwback. Consider in another time line Kuma would have definitely been The Warrior of Liberation. of THAT i have no doubt! Banging chapter boys! Pleasure as always.

2024-01-19 22:47:05 +0000 UTCI feel like the only reason oda doesn't kill off character is because he's saving them to be killed at the end. Marineford had a good amount of deaths, if there's going to be an arc better than marineford and wano then best believe alot of big deaths are coming
Abdel
2024-01-19 19:10:05 +0000 UTCI feel like he has more important roles to play in the story. definitely can't die now, bonny is still a little girl, orphaning bonny seems a bit harsh from oda but idk . Also He being the only living buccaneer in the story he has to play role in the end or near the end based on what vegapunk said about his people "once doing something" in the past - to be hated by the elders

2024-01-19 19:05:07 +0000 UTChmm...i don't think it would diminish his character if he survives...like if they got positive outcome, let's say kuma survives and his humanity gets restored, bonney and him having a tearful reunion, if anything it would fall into the classic resolution where character suffers due to a conflict and then after the conflict gets resolved they get a reward...knowing oda, if he does that, he'll make it very satisfying that being said, like others said, his death will also give an impactful resolution...if kuma dies here, that'll cement him as one of the greatest character and will end his story in an impactful way...if oda does this, i hope oda takes him out in a very grandiose fashion, let's say how rengoku died against akaza or whitebeard's epic death scene...and it's also kind of funny because kaido said death completes a person's character (or something along those lines) and how he died not in an impactful way but whatever oda chooses to do at the end of the day, it'll be W anyway...it is one of the instance of inevitable W

2024-01-19 18:50:04 +0000 UTCObviously it would. He is written as a tragedy that always suffer for others happiness which should be his conclusion in egghead
Mel
2024-01-19 18:44:23 +0000 UTCIn a way he's already dead. If he dies now it won't be a huge blow in the way a fully conscious Kuma death would be. We've technically already seen his death when Vegapunk took his consciousness and he said the happy birthday to bonney. If Kuma's consciousness was brought back and had a happy ending with bonney......I think that might slightly diminish his story. But I think Oda is gonna clutch regardless and give him an amazing conclusion
Rug
2024-01-19 18:34:47 +0000 UTCIt depends on how Oda will handle it in case he lets him live.

2024-01-19 18:22:15 +0000 UTCI think Kuma doesn't need to die for his charachter to be proved in anyway. He already showed that he had the intention to basically die and become a cyborg for her already. Let my man aid the straw hats yo

2024-01-19 18:13:49 +0000 UTCIts hard to decide. I dont think Oda will kill off Kuma based on what we seen with previous characters like Kinemon, but im okay imagining a final scene where Joy Boy luffy dances for Kuma and his Daughter to them drums of liberation like they always dreamed of. Would be a beautiful moment.

2024-01-19 18:13:07 +0000 UTCMan deep inside I just know that it will be the greatest send off to a character ever if he dies and I want the best for the story… its tragic but his death will definitely elevate the story to another level I feel. I hate tragedy but I feel like this has to be done

2024-01-19 18:12:15 +0000 UTCI think theres always a reason for whatever my man Goda shows us. If Kuma does not die maybe he has a role to fullfil yet and if he does he already did a lot. Whatever the case, top tier anime character

2024-01-19 18:11:14 +0000 UTCThis is where Bonney and her being a SH with a dream comes into play. Kuma is technically "dead" as of now. Returning her father into his normal state at the end of the series should be obvious. Luffy in G5 dancing together at the end of the series with Kuma and Bonney would be one of a dozen of chefs kisses.

2024-01-19 18:10:10 +0000 UTCNarratively it ends of Kumas story amazingly. He saw Luffy when he was first starting out as a pirate and followed his journey, even played a big role in Sabaody. How amazing it would be to see that same person is Joyboy who ends up saving his daughter! It would also be so cool if once Kuma hears the “doom doot da da” his memories start flooding back and he remembers the stories of Joyboy his father told him!

2024-01-19 18:02:50 +0000 UTCI don't think it would just because he already did those things. If anything, I like the idea that he'll survive because it would be beyond science. Sometimes, there's just something larger at play than what our human minds can comprehend. But if he were to die, I'd want him to see Luffy in his full Sun God Nika glory before he goes.

2024-01-19 18:01:44 +0000 UTCI doubt Oda kills Kuma off but i really feel like it has to end in his death.... if he survives the flashback was still as great but his arrival to save bonney would be a little less impactful in my humble opinion. But this all has to happen after he sees luffys g5 nika form

2024-01-19 18:01:29 +0000 UTCLool fam i been sitting for the past hour reflecting on this point. Like is it best to kill him off, that too after witnessing the warrior of liberation, we want him to live with bonney dont get me wrong but is thats whats truly best for his character? Flip man i dont know
Uzumaki Khan
2024-01-19 18:00:34 +0000 UTCIt won't! This man has endured so much not only for himself but everyone he's ever encountered! Kuma deserves to be happy even if it's a short life span or something I don't care. If Oda decides it's Kuma's time I'll know he'll be at peace watchin over Bonney with Ginney so it'll be bittersweet but in Oda we trust lol!

2024-01-19 17:59:47 +0000 UTCWe know Oda rarely kills off characters so I see him living. Death is more impactful, have to say.

2024-01-19 17:58:07 +0000 UTCReading that literally gave goosebumps, just imagine man😩. I feel his death too man. And it wont diminish the greatness of the past dozen chapters
Uzumaki Khan
2024-01-19 17:57:22 +0000 UTCBro khan… this question feels harder to think about than all of my exams combined in my whole life 😣 I still trust Oda to set him up so that it would be perfect regardless of whether he dies or not.
rokitup
2024-01-19 17:56:46 +0000 UTCI feel like there is only one way Kumas story ends and it is the perfect way to round everything off. Kuma will die, but he will not die before witnessing Luffy in G5 aka Joyboy and finally resting knowing he saw the warrior of liberation, sharing that moment with Bonney as her always told her stories about that and knowing she’ll be safe with him (Joyboy/Luffy).
Amzo
2024-01-19 17:56:05 +0000 UTCI know😔 but for some reason i feel like its oda like to kill him off, i know ppl say characters rarely die, but for some reason i feel it

2024-01-19 17:55:51 +0000 UTCi don't even care about what one piece is or if luffy become pirate king

2024-01-19 17:55:03 +0000 UTCat this point all we want is kuma to be happy :(
