The music it does give Opening 14 vibes 100%, the visuals are amazing it’s directed from Ishanti the same person who directed Episode 1015. This is DEFINITELY TOP 3 ONE PIECE OPENINGS

2023-09-04 20:18:31 +0000 UTCFor the episode 1073, yes it was in canon filler that Luffy came up with the pre planned idea to grab the lightning, but realistically that’s implied in the manga when we see him holding it in the panel. Also 1074, that had to been one of the best One Piece episodes. The action and emotions were mixed perfectly. Idk what scene was done better, the Luffy vs Kaido battle in the start of the episode. OR the scene at the end with all the wishes being reflected to Luffy as he is setting up for the Bajrang Gun

If they did half the episodes a year, the pacing and animation could have been great year-round for a decade now. These handful of peak episodes during Wano have been a treat though.

2023-09-04 12:30:27 +0000 UTCI ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS EPISODE, disclaimer. But I do think the manga was better. Not because of what they added cause all of that was incredible. I was absolutely blown away by Oda during this stretch of 8 chapters starting at 1042. Like floored, I was speechless, it was that good to me. 1044, 1045 and 1047 are literally my favorite manga chapters all time, so nothing the anime did would have ever matched the way I felt when I first read these chapters
