He can't change it, it's a Patreon thing. It's using your internet speed to decide the quality dynamically, on-the-fly. Basically if your quality sucks then your connection with the Patreon servers are slow. For most people with decent speeds it's 1080p.

You are very wrong though, all the mods are useless, otherwise we'd be sitting by his bedside every night and re-reading OP for him from the start to whatever chapter he reacted to that day. Jokes aside, I'm never the one who talks with him about this, so my opinion doesn't really matter, but: Unless he completely misunderstood something crucial, and it's detrimental to his understanding of something important, let the man figure things out himself. Right now, he's in the process of rereading the manga on his own, he'll notice things like this eventually. Pointing out everything to him wouldn't improve his experience. If he's interested in a detail that he doesn't remember anymore he can just go back and refresh his memory, he has access to the official manga. There is like 5 different things that he could understand better if he was just coming off of a fresh full re-read of the series. I don't think it's realistic for anyone to expect the mods to provide him every single detail for the perfect understanding of each chapter.
