He took the risk because he assumed Luffy and them would be recovering, so Shanks showing up was smoke he didn't want considering how outnumbered and out gunned he was to start. Ain't no way mans is fighting the Straw Hats, Law Crew, Kidd Pirates and Red Hair pirates all at once. It was the right move to back off once Shanks made his presence known.

2023-02-24 16:49:33 +0000 UTCI'll say this regarding Admirals, I do think some people do underestimate them due to the feats we've seen purely of Yonko full power in the last few arcs and lack of Government/marine feats for half a decade now. Sure I think they're definitely beatable now, but we've never seen an Admiral go all out on screen yet, it's difficult to really gauge a full strength admiral against characters who we've seen at their peak strength. I think an Admiral would lose based on how much we know in this particular situation, but don't think it's as much of a stomp-fest as people would like to think it is if it wasn't for Shanks intervention. Admirals are still endgame threats, Aramaki was ready and willing to take the kiddy gloves off and we have no clue how dangerous that is and how much collateral there would be. Remember 2 admirals/admiral strength characters changed the environment and landscape permanently of an entire island.

He didn't say that but he was kinda like, slow down. Maybe he hadn't found the exact location yet. To our knowledge, Jack sinks like a brick under water, he couldn't swim out when Zunesha hit him. So if they were looking for PLUTON, maybe they moved it to the capital and were planning on excavating it eventually. Again, I could be wrong lol

Think about it this way, if kaido knew where pluton was, wouldn't he have told big mom? If we assume he told big mom all of his plans to find the one piece by using ancient weapons like they stated, and we also assume that jack found pluton AND the road poneglyph, then why would she ask kaido in chapter 999 if the poneglyph is in the flower capital? Geographically you would discover the poneglyph before pluton

I mean look at how much of the hajime no ippo anime was adapted before they went seasonal, eventually canceling production lmao. 75 episodes as an ongoing anime production, cancelled for 6 years to then come back with 4 cours spanning 2 seasons (4 years between the 2 seasons), then to be cancelled again for whats been almost a decade. Not even a fourth of the manga has been adapted over 100 episodes. We're glad the op anime isn't on indefinite hiatus

We can see him enslaving people, we heard him talk about his pirate paradise, and we know how he views the WG and world nobles. But that line was very ambiguous, "because it's Wano." It's said to make you wonder, and then we can take it a step further, again this is all theory but I believe I'm right. Why does he want to move Onigashima to the Flower capital? Why not to the top of mount Fuji, or Ringo, or Udon, or Kuri. Why does it have to be in the same place where the road ponegliff is? And again, why would Jack be searching under water in the first place? To look for the underwater Wano? Probably not. I feel like the only option would be Pluton. If Crocodile knew about PLUTON, I think Kaido might have heard about it as well, through Rocks or something

2023-02-24 14:53:21 +0000 UTCI disagree. the line " I chose this place because it's wano" implies he was here for a reason you're correct, but that reason is stated in chapter 1049 in kaido's brief flashback explaining the world he want to create. Kaido is in wano because it's a nation unaffiliated with the WG, and the perfect place to break the wills of citizens to have as slaves, mass producing weaponry for global warfare. It was the place most fitting for his ideology. Your speculation is plausible, but considering an important part of his alliance-announcement speech was around "finding" the ancient weapons, it seems highly unlikely based off that wording that he knew pluton was located in wano. Either of us could be right though I just think the evidence points more towards wano befitting his lifestyle and ambition.

My concern is anime onlys getting to huge moments in the story, and then just brushing over them like they don't matter because they've been missing a lot. I know not everyone has the time or desire to read the manga, but to me, as long as the images on the screen are moving; and you aren't pausing to read and understand what's happening; and going to previous episodes to confirm or deny things; no amount of changing the animation or the schedule of releases will help you. The manga is the best way to consume it imo, because then, if you don't understand something, that's on you

Ep. out of one manga chapter, but the amount of extras and fillers are so damn much that anime only viewers simply can't see the most important stuff. Biggest mistake Toei does ist airing One Piece on a weekly basis. They should do seasons so they could just put 2 or 3 Chapters in one ep without needing any fillers.

The anime episode came out already, but Kaido told Yamato, "I chose this place *BECAUSE* it's Wano." Implying he knew PLUTON was here, why else would Jack be searching under the rainwater. But anime onlys, unfortunately, get so caught up in the crazy animation (not their fault, but why the manga is better imo) that you end up missing important story stuff. That scene in the anime, Kaido was running towards Yamato looking like a demon with crazy animation, so it's no wonder people don't remember it. In the manga, we were analyzing that line forever. It wasn't that crazy of a panel, but even if it was, that text bubble was on every manga reactors' video like, "what does this mean, Kaido???"

Remember this was the guy who went into Marineford, stopped Akainu's punch with his sword one-handed and told everyone the war was over and if people didn't think it was, him and his crew would take them on personally. He was stood in front of the guy who would later become the new fleet admiral Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, Blackbeard, at the time fleet admiral Sengoku, Garp and the list goes on, a battlefield filled with some of the strongest and he was willing to go against them all, which led Sengoku to call an end to the war. Then add in the fact this man just came back from fighting against Kaido to a supposed stalemate without a single significant injury and still ready to take on a whole battleground. It's not that Ryokugyu (Aramaki) is weak necessarily, it's that Shanks is way too damn strong, Shanks stopped this guy from getting serious and good thing he did.
