Dude sweated buckets in front of the demon and still went for war. tracked him down and now lives to die under him. TOP G. Every time Khan mugged it, just kept thinking 'just you wait..youll see' Ikkaku's Bankai..one of my fave moments in Shounen period. Ikkaku's VA legendary too.

2022-07-19 22:43:03 +0000 UTCGetsuga even at that point of the series was no joke, it cut through the ground and small mountains in Urahara's training area, to tank one of those attacks, get back up and fight, take another and live to tell the tale, that's no mean feat, disregarding the fact that Ikkaku at that point likely had his Bankai as well. If we're going off of what we know at this point, Ikkaku could easily at that point in the series stomp Ichigo, only thing stopping him is admiration and desire to die serving under Kenpachi. I mean at that point Renji repeatedly lost to him and didn't have his Bankai. Ikkaku isn't nearly as weak as people like to make him out to be

2022-07-19 19:32:46 +0000 UTCLooking down on Ikkaku at this point is understandable considering he was the first enemy to fight Ichigo past the Seireitei walls and lose to Ichigo, that being said most people forget that fight and how many hits and possibly lethal hits Ikkaku took during that battle, plus he took a point blank Getsuga Tensho to the body and still lived after that. Pretty sure he also had Bankai during his fight with Ichigo considering that he was both hiding it from almost everyone and Renji spoke to him right after Aizen betrayed the soul society, wasn't much time during the events of Soul Society for a lot of those encounters to have happened. Think if Ikkaku had unleashed his bankai on Ichigo, it would've been game over from the get go lol, such an underrated character just cause he's 3rd seat but definitely near or around Captain level
