That says something - Yoruuichi is fighting Captain Sui-Feng barehanded while the other is using the Zanpakuto - Shikai release: "Incantation + Name of the sword", Example Renji: "Howl, Zabimaru" Byakuya: Scatter, Senbonzakura - Bankai release: "Bankai + Text/Title + Name of the sword". Example Ranji: Bankai, Baboon King Zabimaru Byakuya: Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi - So Byakuya in that moment just released the Shikai not Bankai

Release command + Name of the sword= Shikai, for example in this batch of episodes, Yamamoto says ''Turn all things in the universe into ashes'' (or smtng like that) and then states the name of his sword, other examples are Renji ''Roar, Zabimaru'' release command + zanpakuto name, or Byakuya himself, ''Scatter+ Senbonzakura''. If those conditions are met, it's probably a Shikai lol.
