The 7Y Time skip is about time lost and not like the standard time skip. The entire point was the world moved on without them. Also with Makarov his line about when he was ready to die has a lot more context to it. Makarov never really knew his father, he failed with his son, at this point he thought he failed with Laxus, and all of this accumulated to the point he believed he was a failure as a parent. That's why he said he was finally able to act like a real parent and thusly could die happy.

2022-05-23 04:55:34 +0000 UTCLots to break down in this quad that I think you'll find interesting the 1st thing worth mentioning is that there were frozen in time so there was nothing to remember they were basically sent into the future and it had to be done because they were trapped inside Fairy Sphere the ultimate defense spell for 7 years that's the catch for being able to survive an attack from a Acnologia - short summary they either die from the blast or get trapped for 7 years in fairy sphere the 2nd thing worth noting is that they hinted at Cana and Gildarts being related in a scene talking about family before the arc started the 3rd is that they hinted at the time skip by showing grown up Romeo a few episodes back ( you thought it was kid Natsu when you saw him) btw you can watch the opening and ending now its great

2022-04-05 01:43:23 +0000 UTCThe way I see this timeskip, is that Fairy Tail was nΒΊ1 in Fiore, so they were the strongest out there, in other animes when a timeskip happens it is normally for training, in ft they already were the strongest, so what they did is that ft stayed the same, while other guilds got stronger, so I guess there will be new guilds with 7 years more of training.

2022-04-02 23:12:12 +0000 UTCIf I remember right, the timeskip also "felt" weird to me, but it makes sense. In other anime, there is a timeskip for the protags to train, but they face even bigger challenges afterwards, so they still struggle.

2022-04-02 22:18:49 +0000 UTCa time skip is based on time passing in the 99% of time skips there is something involved like going on a training arc or something like that they are doing stuff this time skip is based on them beeing frozen inside this fairy tail barrier to be protected they where just frozen so the things that changed in that time skip are the outside world or like the rest of the world in the time they were not arround i think you are to influenced of the time skips in naruto or one piece cause the reason the time skip happend is different from those 2 to fairy tail naruto and jiraya beeing on a little journey training straw hats beeing isolated and training fairy tail beeing frozen to be protected from an apocalyptic dragon obviously they stay the same right ^^

The filler arc starts at 128 until 150 and I definitely think its worth the watch, I can see you loving it. Also gives you time to cool down after the greatness that happened on tenrou island and get used to the 7 year time skip so you're ready for the next canon arc. It's up to you whether you wanna watch it or not tho!

2022-04-02 20:46:40 +0000 UTCGlad you loved tenrou arc as much as you did, it will always be one of my favs! Also this might be an unpopular opinion but I think you should react to the filler arc, the manga author hiro mashima still wrote the storyline for this arc and helped the animation studio create it so it's still well-written. It is a little slow at the beginning of the arc but there are some really amazing moments and ofc feels, plenty of feels. Supporting characters get some time in the spotlight too and theres a bunch of cool fights and a really emotional storyline for this arc. A lot of people will say to skip it, but I think every fairy tail fan should watch it at least once. It adds a lot of information which may feel odd later on if you never watched it and dont know what theyre talking about.
