Please watch this video if you plan on selling this! (Etsy Listing and Tips)

This book rest is a great addition to a bedside table, nightstand, or end table for book lovers. Rest a book on the triangle, lean a tablet on the ledge, use it as a spot for your reading glasses, and a coaster. It serves as the perfect reading station!

I was asked to create some more prints that will sell and be profitable. After doing market research on Etsy, I found this: A Nightstand Book Rest Coaster Combo.

I used the market research strategy that I used to find products that have earned me several $100K's of revenue on Etsy. I think this item could become a good seller for you guys, especially if you target specific customers well and take excellent photos.

This item already is proven to sell well on Etsy, there are several best-selling items similar to this, both made of wood and 3D Printed.

I included a few different styles. One Basic one, One with the tablet rest and cable clip, and one that is a more abstract shape.

Photos:

Before taking photos, please scroll through Etsy and look at what style of photos people are using for their thumbnail images. The images I have here are actually renderings made in a software, so I really recommend taking your own photos. (I am currently in the process of moving and don't have anywhere to stage nice photos for a little bit). Searching "Book Rest" will show similar items that you can use for inspiration.

I found this printed way better for me standing it up on the triangle end.

Did you do any ironing on the flat base surface? I'm getting inconsistent results for some reason on my X1C

I think that would warrant a separate design. I’ll add it to my concepts, it’s a good idea

A suggestion for the future. Could you make a similar file that can hold a book open for reading? I'm thinking of people who like to take their books to the beach or in the tub and don't want to hold them. Or any suggestions to edit the existing file to do this?

You can use the mirror function in slicers usually to do this

Not sure what program you used for designing this but would it be a simple thing to get a mirrored version? I’d like one where the mug would sit on the right rather than the left. For the version with the tablet ledge.
