Hi!

Weeks been good I think, progress has been slow, but that's a given due to the circumstances. Scene I'm working on has basically no dialogue, so all information/story has to be conveyed through images. And it's HARD. I mean, in my mind it was supposed to be straightforward, had it all planned out on the script. But the hard part comes when you are actually posing, how to set up camera, light, the environment... It's getting done, but for it to hit the way I want it to hit I can't cut corners, and it feels like the care I've been putting in each shot is akin to a special render.

The environment also took a bit of time to get it the way I wanted it to be. I don't like just buying an asset, loading and putting the characters in it, especially if it's their home. It should reflect their personality, so I try to personalize everything to make them feel like they belong there and it's theirs. As I get more and more used to Daz it gets increasingly easier to get to the result I want, also with poses and setting up scenes in general.

One of the hardest things is translating what you imagine in your head to what is actually done, and frankly, there's no way around it. It's a mechanical skill. You get used to doing the work and then you have more brainpower to actually improve the work that's being done.

Well, that's it for today. I'll keep working on this scene until it ends and the next one is supposed to be simpler, so I think I can get through it faster.
