#9 Patreon Post - Halfway there.

Today will be a pretty short one. I’ve got my mind on a bunch of other stuff today.

I’ve reached what I assume is the midpoint of this update. It’s still part of the prologue, but hopefully by the end, we can have all the set pieces in place, and you can start developing the MC’s personality traits with the choices being added. Branching paths won’t be present for now, but the foundation for them will start with this update. As each choice compounds (shaping the personality), it will become harder to shift to another path (based on how the world sees the MC)—not impossible, but challenging. I’m also trying to ensure that a different choice doesn’t conflict with the established personality at that point. It’s a fine balance, and I don’t expect too many contrasting options right now. I’m thinking midway through development, one of the choices might become grayed out. I’ve seen other VNs do that, and it makes sense. But that’s a long way off. We’ll see how it goes.

About the LIs, you’ll have pretty obvious choices. Right now, it’s just about establishing the overall “vibe” of the MC regarding women. I had a plan in mind, and seeing the community’s reaction to the initial designs of the girls, I’m pretty sure it’s the right call. I don’t want to make you play the game several times through the same story just to see half a dozen different renders for X girl. I won’t go too in-depth right now because it’s all abstract until I have more content to show so you can grasp the choices. Some principles I’m working with: there won’t be any mutually exclusive paths, like “pick X or Y.” Any major beat will have a choice to “invest” in that LI or not. However, there WILL be a loyalist path/ending, which will be the most impactful one—but again, that’s far into the future.

Next week is Carnaval here in Brazil. I’ll try not to stop development, but it will slow down a bit. I won’t be on the PC as much, though if I have time, I’ll try to focus on writing future scenes.

I recently joined the AVN and Ass Man Discord servers and read through the reception of FZero there. I was very pleasantly surprised that new people are finding the game and enjoying it. All I can say is thank you for giving me this opportunity.

No special render for now. I’ll try to post one before the next devlog. I had an idea but didn’t have time to make it.
