For the following ten days or so, our main base of operations was not Ronda, but ALA.
I went to the Adventurers’ Guild at noon once every two days or so, just to deliver guinea fowls and other items, buy some foodstuffs, but then returned to ALA immediately.
I told Luka that we were camping out in the forest to train, much to her surprise.
Even when Zanvert sent me a Mindtype message, asking me if he could issue a permit for Gust and his guys, I just replied it was okay, without going to meet him in person.
By the way, right after receiving the permit Gust’s party left town for an escort mission.
The first few days, Dorothea sent me absurdly long Mindtype messages, 10 or more times a day, but I couldn’t be bothered to reply. Receiving messages so long with that frequency, however, was a pain in itself. I told her that I was going to turn off mental messaging functions for her if she persisted, and she limited herself to sending one message per day.
As for our lifestyle in ALA…
I was mainly busy with producing and crafting things.
I only cooked for Sil, though: Misha, in order to obtain the best possible results from her training, had stopped purging her poisoned status at dinner.
I thus dedicated myself to making sweets and desserts.
Of course, I also worked to improve my training methods.
First, in order to enlarge ALA, I replenished its magic power, widening the area little by little.
This created more available space, so I surrounded a corner of grassland with two meter-tall walls, to use as a breeding area for the Horn Rabbits.
I first thought of it as a method to ensure food for Sil, but now I also use it as a training ground for Misha. Inside it, she can effectively practice detecting presences and dodging. I adjust the number of Horn Rabbits inside in order to provide the best results for her training.
Misha learned the Night Vision skill, so she practices there at night too.
Another thing I am currently very invested in is building my own house inside ALA.
I built a stone bridge on the upper area of the waterfall, and was considering setting up my house there. It took about ten days to finish the bridge, so I was thinking of starting to build the house soon.
While I was doing all of these things, Misha was…training, training, training. Day in, day out.
She looked like it was taking its toll on her, but seeing how she gained results quickly, she ultimately enjoyed it.
She drank potions so often that she barely consumed any food, slept as little as possible and undertook very risky training challenges, but never complained.
The only thing that worried me was that sometimes she looked at her status and grinned in a kind of scary way…
Her current status was like this:
.

To achieve such growth in just ten days is nothing short of incredible. The speed at which her stats rise is definitely thanks to the “doping” she’s taking.
Her new skills also were acquired thanks to the doping and the proficiency she has been building over the years, I’m sure. She has proficiency accumulated for other skills too, but once you level up, it takes time before you can do it again.
Right now, the doping training is raising her stats quickly, while the stored proficiency is coming to fruit, thus showing her growth in a clear, easy to understand manner.
This kind of training couldn’t be continued forever, though. As long as one’s total magic power was small, it was possible to train like this while using basic grade potions, but as it grew, middle or high grade potions would become necessary, and the ingredients needed to make them were hard to come by: eventually, this kind of training would stop being practical.
Once she reached that point, Misha’s true trials were going to start.
For Misha, the most relaxing and healing part of the day was taking a bath.
She wasn’t interested at all when I first showed the bathtub to her, but she was now completely addicted: she took several baths per day, sometimes soaking for hours.
It became troublesome to be called via Mental Message every time she wanted to take a bath: this was one of the reasons why I realized that living inside ALA would make things easier, and also why I decided to build a house.
About Sil, Poison and Paralysis stopped affecting him. His training was more like playing around, so he hasn’t shown much growth yet.
He has the vital task of supplying me with fluff time, however, so training and experimenting with him can wait for now.
