Chapter 4 - [Fiery Sky] Lucifer II

Lucifer was wary of being caught in a trap again. He didn't move, watching my reaction.

So I decided to attack first.

Using Ground Shrink, I approached him as fast as I could, creating multiple illusions of myself.

Lucifer was hit directly and sent flying into the sky.

The magic attack was weakened by the effect of Lucifer's spell, “Fallen World,” but it was still effective.

I turned my palm towards Lucifer and spoke the name of the spell to pursue him.

“—Ice Needle!”

Countless ice thorns were generated and released to surround Lucifer.

Lucifer swung his magic sword to sweep away some of the thorns that were trying to impale him, and escaped the encirclement through the gap.

“Is that all?”

“Huh? You think so? You only destroyed part of the magic.”

“—What?”

Lucifer looked back and saw a thorn approaching his back, and his expression was one of shock.

“Huh!?”

I had assumed that it would be avoided from the start, so I was tracking the target.

Lucifer must have decided that it was unavoidable, so he pointed his palm in that direction.

“—the Flame of Condemnation, Elmekia Zero.”

An explosion occurred.

The approaching thorn disappeared due to the fireball that Lucifer unleashed.

Lucifer then accelerated due to the explosion and approached me.

As Lucifer tried to swing his magic sword, I put my beloved sword back into its sheath.

I then crouched down deeply and began to channel magic power into my sword.

“You think that's enough to defeat me?”

Lucifer's magic sword glowed.

He must have channeled magic power into the magic sword just like me.

“Can you withstand this!?”

“I've never tried it, so I don't know.”

“Then, give it a try!”

The magic sword, imbued with immense magic power, was close at hand.

Just as it was about to slice me to pieces, I unsheathed my beloved sword, saying the name of the technique.

“—Cherry Blossom Flash - Absolute Truth!”

A crimson sword flash swept across the sky, deflecting the approaching Morning Star Venus.

“–Huh!?”

Lucifer cried out in surprise, but my goal was not to deflect the attack.

The strike I unleashed was aimed precisely at Lucifer's neck.

Lucifer twisted his body in an instant, but–

“Guh!”

Fresh blood flew, and Lucifer's arm that was not holding the sword flew into the air.

Lucifer made a gesture of trying to retrieve his arm, but I didn't let him.

I instantly turned my palm and unleashed a spell.

“—Inferno!”

The unleashed flames engulfed Lucifer's severed arm and turned it to ash.

I quickly changed my position, put some distance between us, and as Lucifer tried to land, I timed my spell to fire.

“—Niflheim!”

The ground froze in an instant, immobilizing Lucifer.

Seizing that momentary gap, I used Ground Shrink to approach and unsheathe my sword.

“That's troublesome!”

Lucifer shattered the ice by casting magic at his feet, and deflected my oncoming attack with his magic sword.

Lucifer tried to escape by flying backwards again, but was blocked by the barrier I had deployed earlier.

“—! That's enough!”

Lucifer swung his magic sword to try to destroy the barrier, but he was too late.

The slash I unleashed was absorbed into Lucifer's torso.

Lucifer seemed to notice this, and a pained expression appeared on his face.

“Don't think you can defeat me with just this!”

Just before I got there, Lucifer's magic power exploded.
