Maycon Mendonca 2nd Commentary
Added 2024-08-15 02:25:43 +0000 UTCMaycon likes to retreat in a straight line and struggles finding his range once pressured onto the wall. He relies on a rear uppercut and sometimes knee to alleviate or meet the pressure. Pressing him to the warning tracks and being patient on the shot entry will be huge to limiting any potential damage. Once on the wall he relies heavily on his overhook/whizzer. He feeds his hip hard as he pulls up on the overhook. that being his primary line of defense indicates he does not feel comfortable giving up his back. Which leads us to shucking to the back from a body lock, reaping the leg for a trip, or cinching in a gable grip on a high crotch. If Maycon stays disciplined and doesn't allow the hands to connect switch things up by punching and kneeing until he's lulled to sleep then go. On the ground Maycon has displayed that he is satisfied with pulling guard. He is efficient enough to rest in guard therefore making sure to stuff the knee and cook in half guard is the easiest route to victory.
