By switching up how he uses his lead hand Bivol is able to keep Canelo guessing and always a step behind. Canelo's elite counter punching is nulified by Bivols elite jab and educated rear hand. This leaves little openings for Canelo to find the left hook to the body and the counter overhand right. This wouldn't be possible without Bivol's constant and disciplined footwork compared to Canelo's heavy feet.
