Recently I played a game that really just did it for me story/character wise. It's a game called Warlord by deepglugs dev. The way the story progresses, the way MC character progresses especially with his companions. Take the nudity and sex out of the game and it will still be brilliant in my opinion.
His other games are: Tragedy of Madusa, Euryale's Gambit and Athena's Revenga.
I have not played a game in a long time that the story and characters has affected me so much as Warlord.
So here's the man himself:
Hi I’m deepglugs and I just finished Warlord, a fantasy adventure visual novel with a focus on story and animations. The visual novel takes place in a world of mythology where once powerful gods have been dethroned and a power vacuum now exists in their place.
Warlord begins with a man on a farm with beautiful companions. He could not ask for more when he is suddenly injured by a feral horse and his life turns for the worst. Some evil soldiers from a power-hungry warlord destroys the farm and kills one of his companions. On the verge of death, he’s taken by the remaining companions to a witch who heals him at a great cost.
In order to save him, the witch summons a powerful succubus and binds his soul to hers. This unwelcome guest grants him powers with which he vows revenge on those who have wronged him. His new succubus, however, has plans of her own.
On his journey of vengeance he and his companions find themselves encountering gods, succubi and powerful armies of men. How he responds to these challenges depends on your choices. His path to revenge is entirely up to the player who may finish the game with any of the several endings shaped by your choices. Will he follow the path of love or will he succumb to the temptation of darkness?
He really deserves support not only cause he's a cool dude but his games are excellent. So think about it, play his games and support if you can.
