0.3.1 Release Changelog
Added 2019-11-13 17:28:45 +0000 UTCHere is the (hopefully) full list of changes for this release. We will post the list of changes from now on publicly with each release as requested.
Mayor changes:
- Added Buffs / Debuffs, some attacks and items add increased attributes to the characters, or other statistics like speed. Applying the same Buff/Debuff does not stack, it only refreshes the duration (if it has longer duration, or stronger base effect). Items currently using buffs and debuffs are Fairy Treat, Healing Medicine, and Bolas.
- Added Damage over time effects and implemented acid and fire type dots. Dots bypass armor, and acid damage deals damage to equipment each tick. Frog spit now also deals DoT damage, and Flaming Berries can be used by player to deal fire damage.
- Added Run away, you can now run away from combat after the prologue. There are 2 location that you can run to, the Witch's Hut and the Village depending on your last visited location. The function is disabled when you travel with Nora to the village for the first time.
- Added: New Quest you can receive from Edan at the Hunter's Hall. If you have the persuasion skill or done Lana's quest you can get a free Skinning Equipment from him when you pick up the quest. Frogs respawn when you leave the forest area.
- Added: You can get a key from a chest at the bandit leader to open the Lakeside house.
- Added: 1 new scene, Now you can peek on Nora at the window of her house. (Repeatable)
- Added: 1 new CG, you will meet Drisa at the Lakeside House.
- Added: A few new Journal entry. Sometimes new entries are added when you meet certain NPCs. There is no indication for it yet, it will be added later.
- Modified: Location of the ropes is now moved to the pygmy camp. The previous location now has 2 bushes with Flaming berries.
- Modified: Chest on the map have been updated with additional loot. The 2 bandit lookout has a leather armguard in their chest, the 2 pygmies now have throwing daggers in the chest they guard. Also added Flaming Berries to the bushes with the 4 pygmies.
- Modified: Requirement for scenes, now you can get at least 1 version of all scenes with whatever path you chosen. You might be required to use Fairy Treat to meet the requirements.
- Modified: Skip now takes you to the witch with all of her quests completed. Just interact with the bed to choose a path and meet Nora after that.
New Items, and modifications to Items.
- Fairy Treat: Increases Deviance by 2, and Charm by 1, but reduces Agility by 1 for 1 day. Purchased from Gina, or the Witch. You receive one when you first go to the village.
- Flaming Berries: Flaming berries deal fire type DoT and can be used by placing them in the Combat Inventory. Acquired by looting bushes with red berries on them in the prologue map and the forest map.
- Throwing Daggers: Functions like bag of rocks, has 2 charges/battle. Can be placed in the belt slot. Purchased from Gina, or found in a chest guarded by pygmies.
- Bolas: Ranged ability attack, reduces enemy speed by 4 (to a minimum of 1). Can be placed in the belt slot. Found in chest in the bandit's house.
- Dagger: New weapon scales with Agility, it deals 1.5x damage if attacking enemies from behind. Purchased from Gina.
- Skinning Equipment: A new type of item (Gear). This allows to loot frog skin from frogs, and rarely a Frogstone Gem.
- Frogskin: Item to sell, and for a quest.
- Leather Armor set: Leather armor, leggings, and arm guards are now in game. Purchased from Gina. Leather Armor can be acquired as quest reward from Edan.
- Modified Certain statistics of items. Bag of rocks deals 1 less damage now. Nora's sword deals less damage etc..
- Modified Healing Medicine, now only heals 10, but increase toughness by 2 for 3 turns if used in combat.
- Modified Healing Salve can now be used in combat.
- Modified Displayed information of items.
- Added Abilities can now have charges, and can recharge after each battle.
Fixes:
- Fixed Pathfinding issue when certain node wouldn't reset properly when enemies can't move in attack range of the character.
- Fixed Party members not currently in the party getting duplicated on save.
- Fixed Item select drop down not disappearing when you close the inventory screen.
- Fixed Some grammatical errors in conversations.
- Fixed A list of strange issues that might not have been present in the last update, and could have been caused by changes made. Including not being able to pay for the room in the inn, and first meeting when you get back to the witch not triggering.
Background changes:
- Code for combat and pathfinding have been modified so it will be easier to add to later.
- Conversation option requirements have been modified, and added to. It still need some work but it will make easier for us to create more branching conversations depending on certain requirements.
- Added Enemies can now respawn after defeated. For now only the frogs on the forest map respawn. You have to leave the area for it to happen.
