Edinblog Day 19, 20, 21 & 22
Added 2022-08-26 15:43:48 +0000 UTCThis week I did ACMS a couple of times and the Assembly Best of The Fest last night (all shows starting at midnight). I’d put off doing late shows to this last week of the festival because I was trying to keep my powder dry, but doing three in a row was deeply stupid. I feel dreadful today - emotional, tired, groggy, hopeless - like I’ll never make up the sleep.
Also Laser Fraser is a bit sick, so I got home at 1am and started a shift of comforting and feeding and patting and cuddling. Which felt like the parenting comedy hard yards had properly hit. I got to sleep at 4am, comforted by the thought that plenty of normal comedians were also going to bed at the same hour.
I’m still loving the show. Audiences have been lovely. The bin strike is getting pestilential, I’m ready to start thinking about next year’s show.
