Corey Tutt is a scientist and a Kamilaroi man who is obsessed with science education, and getting things done.
I spoke to him about the things he wrestles with in expanding science education to remote communities, and wrestle with our ideas of what constitutes Australian history, education, life skills and who "owns" the scientific method.
If you get a chance to check out Corey's project - DeadlyScience, it's a very cool initiative that provides science books and early reading material to remote schools in Australia. Corey's the 2020 NSW Young Australian of the Year, which is pretty fancy, but we had a lovely chat despite his fanciness and we both had a really lovely wrestle with some delicate and slippery ideas.
