Oyster Bay Circuit – Dar Es Salaam - Tanzania V0.5 WiP + other WiP

Hi Everyone,

This is the first time I'm posting a non-finished track.
I'm starting doing more street circuits and in order to do that I've purchased the premium version of a Blender add-on, which imports buildings from real geodata, + doing some tests.

I would like to get your feedback:

1) if you like this approach in order to have realistic cities environments not making files too heavy, especially where there is no or very little information to be found on the actual look of buildings in each street.

2) for street courses I normally prefer to create each separate road on its own, rather than creating the circuit as a whole track... in my opinion makes the change between one street and the other more realistic.
When it comes to roundabouts I prefer to do it with two half circles rather than a full circle small track, which will make meshes tricky on the inside.

If this approach is ok, I'll finish this one off (https://allalongtheracetrack.co.uk/2020/12/04/oyster-bay-circuit-dar-es-salaam/) to the usual standards, adding AI, Extensions, cameras, all missing objects and optimizing all textures [currently I've modified the add-on with more than 150 textures so I'll make sure that they're all coherent with the type of building in the final version].

Meanwhile I'll be working on other two circuits in parallel, even on holidays:

Dover Raceway – Dumbarton (https://allalongtheracetrack.co.uk/2021/04/30/dover-raceway-dumbarton/), for which I'll be doing only the re-design as there is already a very good mod of the actual small track

and

Qingdao Street Circuit - China (https://allalongtheracetrack.co.uk/2021/02/13/qingdao-street-circuit-qingdao/) for which I'm waiting for a dozen of high-quality 3D models of specific buildings.
