And now for something different.
Over the weekend I thought it'd be fun to redraw the Powerpuff Girls as humanoids, blending concepts from the original series, the anime and a few other things.
Here are the Powerpuffs

"Blossom" is bored with her life. Nothing interesting ever happens. It's mostly just her and "Buttercup", her longtime childhood friend. "Blossom" is an avid fan of The Powerpuff Girls, spending her free time watching the cartoons and reading the comics, wishing her life could be even as remotely interesting as the heroines' antics protecting the City of Townsville.
"Buttercup" is the closest thing to a "Buttercup" that "Blossom" has. She has the brown eyes, while "Buttercup" has the green. Despite being a dude, he doesn't mind playing superheroes with "Blossom" as kids, even though he's been crushing on her the more he got older. Naturally, he doesn't tell her any of his inner feelings for her, nor does he let it ruin the friendship he has with her.
"Blossom" has always sought out for the third friend to complete their trio. All we need is the blue. Fulfilment came in the form of "Bubbles", a transfer student who miraculously appears in her class one day. How her eyes lit up to see the blonde, blue girl introduce herself to the class. She must make her a friend. She must complete the trinity.
Will "Blossom" succeed? Is her dull life at an end?
Thus the lack of "girls" in the collective noun. He's a dude! I don't have proper names for them yet, so I've used their codenames as such. Yes, I put a bit of thought into it, but nothing much beyond that. Are they supersleuths? Do they become vigilantes?
The Powerpuffs will more than likely remain a concept than a completely new series, but I'll welcome anyone to continue with the idea.
