Now I have to choose what jokes of mine I think are good for a ten minute set and then send them over. Which is weird, because usually with a ten minute set, I’ll plan out my first few jokes and use them to test the waters regarding what other jokes I’ll then tell. I sent through a big chunk of things I might talk about (in case they’ve got to run things past their lawyers) but they want to know “for the running order”, which means I have to cut it all down.
Perhaps they’re worried that I’ll go overtime, which is not a thing I usually do, (though I guess they don’t know that).
With that, finalising Amazon edits and applying for two UK visas at the same time, it’s all been very computer based work in the last two days.
Though I did go in to the Somethin’ Else studios today to do some interviews for my next Audible Documentary (on Work-Life balance - should come out in January). Which constituted my human connection for the day, and this evening I’m MCing Old Rope at The Phoenix in Oxford Circus. Overall, maybe a balanced diet?

It seems somewhat alarming to me that a comedy gala would have to run a set through their lawyers ahead of time.
