Edinblog 13-15: The Real World

It’s such an odd thing to read the news; the real world can feel very far away in the constant hustling of reshuffled value that is Edinburgh - a place where reviews are worth more than money; where people will spend thousands of dollars on a PR agent to get reviewers into their shows, where they will take up a seat (in a room you’re paying for) for free and return some unquantifiable value in stars that may or may not lead to more or fewer (or many fewer if it’s a bad review) tickets being sold.
What long term reputational value you may garner from the accretion of positive reviews is hard to quantify, but in the fairyland of Edinburgh the exchange rate on stars and reviews against real world money is outrageous.
