Update!

Hey Patreonites,
The Perth run has come to an end, and it’s been such a pleasure to see some of you taking advantage of the 2 for 1 offer. I’ve loved getting to meet you, and I’m glad I got to sort out tickets.

Perth tech was a bit of a drama, but after the opening night, I feel like I have a better handle on the show, to take it to the U.K. This is such a hard show to do properly, because it deals with failure, and so it has to skate close to failure, while still working as a show. What that means is, if anything legitimately goes wrong, it can be a complete disaster.

As a heads up, I’ve realised some of the people at the $25 level aren’t sure how the Skype me deal works. The answer is just email me and we’ll sort out a time. Very unfancy, but it works!

I recently recorded the Trilogy for the ABC, and the edits are nearly done. It should air in the next month or so, and I’m very excited that the audio medium has so much potential to try interesting things. Savage I’ve left mainly untouched, and The Resistance has become almost a radio play.

My producer, Bryce, has also done some incredible things with sound, including putting a Binaural mic in the audience, which hasn’t been done for comedy before as far as I know - what that means is if you’re listening on headphones, you’ll be able to hear the audience *around* you. It’s all very cool and technological!

If you’re in Australia, you might notice the voice on the ad for Australian Avocados sounds a bit familiar. It’s my voice! First ad I’ve ever done (as I’m a bit picky about the ethics of things like ads). But I feel like telling people to eat avocados is pretty legit. I eat avocados! Maybe I’m luring people into giving up their dream of homebuying, but apart from that I feel pretty good about it.

The latest Tea with Alice ep just went up too, this week with Craig Quartermine, talking about the impact of tea on moods, speaking white, finding out what theatresports is, using dick jokes to talk about Syria, why it's easier being an indigenous comic overseas, enlightenment and colonialism, making use of the land, Anger and Authority, selling out and selling products.

On the merch front, Henchduck HQ is moving house, so the store is temporarily closed. We will reopen in a fortnight, and we’re wanting to bring some new products your way. We’re currently working on tote bags with my one liners and dating tips, and we want to know what quotes you’d like to see. If you have a favourite quote from any of the shows, let us know! And as always, if there’s anything you want to see in the store, let us know your suggestions!
