Today I woke up and had brunch with my friend Yasmin who I used to play Theatresports with back in first year university when I had no idea that I'd end up down this path in life. Her partner Jeff was also there, and he was lovely despite Yas and me dominating the conversation with reminiscences and catchups.
Then I walked up this guy to get a breath of fresh air and perspective.
After that, I did some flyering, and a few lineup spots at free shows, the most enjoyable of which was the Cult of Comedy with the excellent Tessa Waters
Then I did more flyering and The Resistance, which was full and lovely and made me feel confident in the show again. Maybe it's the impact of that day-almost-off yesterday, but I felt strong and fresh in the show.
Then I went and did Late Night Letters and Numbers, or as it's known in the UK, Comedy Countdown.
Then I went up to the top of The Gilded Balloon and watched Tiff Stephenson manage to swing out laughs from some political material at 2am at the legendary-in-its-own-lifetime Late N Live show.
Then home to do admin.
