Today being the first Sunday of the Fringe I decided I should take a rest day, insofar as I decided I would only do the show that I'm meant to be here doing.
I woke up, had breakfast, went for a run and then hung around for a bit before doing my show. Not exactly a blog'sworth of activity, but I decided I should give myself one day a week of doing not many spots or other promo things. Like a little mini weekend.
The show was (of course) to a small Sunday crowd, and a handful of comps and passes. Not good for the bottom line, but I had fun! After my day almost-off, I felt a bit refreshed and a bit full of doubt.
The constant hectic movement of Edinburgh can keep you from thinking too much about stuff. The question arose for me of whether I'm doing the right stuff, doing the spots that are easy to get rather than useful, or rather than working on the show or something more efficient.
Then I had drinks (soda water) with about half the audience and then went out to dinner with my friend Alana, and then I went to Massaoke, which is a rejuvenating thing to do. Yeah, what it sounds like. Mass karaoke.
Everyone singing together. It's a blast, particularly on a Sunday night, when it's not insanely overfull from being very popular, and there's room to do some proper arm waving.
Til tomorrow punks. Ax
