I did mention over on my twitter (@aliterative if you don't already follow me there) that listening to music these days gives me goosebumps. Here is photo-proof that my metaphors are ALWAYS literal and exact. I'm not going to tell you what song this was, because it's mildly embarassing.
I am just back in Melbourne from the beautiful Perth FringeWorld, and have done my first trial show of The Resistance (coming soon to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Edinburgh Festivals Near You - check out the website for dates and tickets as they emerge).
Happy to say that despite my fears, it actually looks like it will become a show (!) On the other hand, The Resistance IS still being assembled, so if you have any requests for the type of stuff you'd like to see in it (or suggestions for Merch you'd like), I'm still terrified enough to be suggestible.
Process of creation is always very exciting but intimidating. Some artists I think see the finished work in the block of stone, like DaVinci, chipping away the excess. For me, I have the stone and infinite vast possibilities, then I figure out what shape it should be as I go along.
New SBS articles up over here, and teacast up on itunes as ever.
Look for the next Chaser quarterly for some longer form writing by me.
