I discuss Halsey's use of diction, imagery, allusion and symbolism throughout this song. I also discuss possible speakers and the exposition and characterization throughout the album thus far. Moreover, I discuss how the Halsey uses literary devices to develop a central tone.
Note- Y'all. I accidently listened to and analyzed the remix version of this song 😭😭😭 I didn't realize it until after my reaction when I went to look up what Stefflon Don was saying (it was going too fast in the lyric video, and I wanted to see the lyrics written out). I Googled the lyrics, and to my surprise, there was another verse (something about Paris, more party imagery, etc) that wasn't included in this version. Also, I didn't see Big Sean or Stefflon Don's verses in the Google lyrics at all. After some research, I realized that I actually listened to the remix 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ Sorry about that, y'all! I hope you still enjoy!
