I love how Taylor used very specific words to emphasize this song. She used a lot of words that society associates with being masculine. Smart writing.

I know he's not the only male actor doing that, but π€’ Good for Taylor for calling him out, even in a broad sense. Actually, I think she probably knows a bunch of his exes who are/were Victoria's Secret models, because she became friends with those models back in her "squad" days. So imagine the crazy stuff she heard from them π³

If a man shows that side of himself, heβs showing heβs βsensitiveβ or heβs βbraveβ for being vulnerable, a woman is referred to as βtoo emotionalβ. I once had a manager tell me to my face I would never be as good a manager as a man because men manage with their brains, but women can only manage with their emotions. Iβm sorry, WHAT?

Do you remember the scene in "Miss Americana " when she debates with herself "was" vs "were"? She goes with "was", I guess because she thought it just sounded better. She's a better writer than I am so I'm not going to quibble. Great video,, btw.
