Big Announcement! Please take the time to read
Added 2020-12-02 22:33:37 +0000 UTCHey everyone we have a lot to cover this month! I will soon be announcing the winners of the Hero poll as well as posting the last month's raffle mini.
But before we get into that I have some announcements of big changes implementing in January.
After talking with friends and other members I have decided to release MORE minis each month in exchange for variants. THAT'S RIGHT! MORE MINIS! Because of this, the monthly polls will change slightly and the tier rewards will shift.
Starting in January
- The Hero tier will now receive 5 unique character models. Some months may include a creature or mount as the 5th mini.
- The Adventure tier will be CLOSED. Those of you still in the tier will be grandfathered in and you will receive 2 minis of the 5 (my choice)
- The Hand of the Goddess tier will be returning with one spot each month to choose one of the 5 designs.
- There will be no change to the other tiers
- Raffles will become more special event-oriented than a monthly occurrence
- ALL PREVIOUS VARIANT EXCLUSIVES WILL BE ADDED TO THE HERO'S WELCOME BOX! Yes all of them, but not all are pre-supported yet.
Also to help with people missing downloads I will now be uploading all models to My Mini Factory at the end of the month and all pledgers for that month will automatically receive a link to download it from MMF. So you'll always have a backup!
In order to keep up the exclusivity of the Patreon tiers, All minis will not become publicly available until 2 months after Patreon's release.
Again this is what I am thinking but If enough people hate this idea I can keep things going as they were. Please feel free to leave feedback below and stay tuned for great Work In Progress on minis!

hear me out for a moment. My absolute favorite miniatures products available are the Frostgrave plastic sets. they are multi part and all the sets are compatible. each mini is about four parts. body. two arms (each arm is holding an item option) and a head. these simple parts are kind of incredible for mixing and matching and with 3d printing you could do a more helpful shoulder joint.

2020-12-06 06:40:30 +0000 UTCOkay. I love the MMF thing. And the other models being available. I did purchase ones I wanted even after becoming a member though. I will definately miss the variants. Maybe consider another tier to get the variants too? Five minis of the quality you do is awesome. I went for the Hero Tier for the extra bodies and parts to be able to mix and match.

2020-12-03 05:06:11 +0000 UTCwho wouldn't love more minis?? Just a favor,... make sure to name the uploads/files/etc on MMF differently for each month, or it gets really, really confusing after a few months. Partly due to their software (not showing dates). But if the packages are labled by month and year it also helps big time. Adding in a "package" download, rather than just the individual minis is great too -- even if you mark the package NotForSale after it's pushed into our accounts. It makes downloads a lot easier than 8 or 10 (or with some accounts 15 or 16) separate ones. But the explosion is a learning curve for everyone one... including MMF who had speeds rivaling the Tortoise today, and I think the tortoise won. :(

2020-12-03 00:01:37 +0000 UTCTo me, patreon projects are mostly about showing support, discussing, and affecting the models we eventually get. And then for some more selfish reasons, Savings (I don't need to like every model, but if I would consider buying the ones I like for more than I pay via patreon, it's worth it) Secondly, early access, comes naturally. Sometimes we kind of "beta test" the models. Much longer than that, 2 months? Don't mind, but don't see as a "benefit" either. And then... The exclusives. That ends up punishing lots of different people, including those that just didn't find you sooner. And not being able to even buy the special versions later on felt just kind of... weird So now every backer can access them, which I guess is fine. And I assume those sets will miss the "standard" version? So especially if you want the full set, that still makes the purchase of the earlier models you missed worth considering. As for the future releases, I hope you won't go the "5 elves, followed by 5 goblins etc." route, but have more variability, like completely unrelated models, we've often gotten this far (absolutely nothing wrong with that).

2020-12-02 23:27:17 +0000 UTCI love this. Value is determined by cost divided by number of minis PRINTED and this will help your Patreon with that a ton as most people may not print each variant.
2020-12-02 23:22:15 +0000 UTCSome big news indeed My feedback: - All the past exclusives going into the welcome box.... OMG YES! <3 (I've been looking longingly at that 500 patron goal, and wishing for the numbers to hurry up and get there since you announced it!). Super happy here. It keeps them patreon exclusive (which tbh, doesn't bother me if they are), but allows all patrons chance to get them still. win! - 2month between patreon and mmf upload for public... yeah this feels better than just saying 'this 1 variant is permanently never available ever again' tbh. it removes the FOMO aspect entirely. I approve. - MMF backups, cool, lots of patreon's doing it now, makes sense :) - Good to see the customise a model tier returning :) - More minis = win (always), in exchange for variants = hmm... I kinda really like how we get a model and multiple options to choose from (be it heads, weapons, clothing) ... it really makes it customisable and awesome in my eyes. I'd personally rather have less models with more choices, than more models that are all 1 pose with 0 options. Maybe have more models (up from 2-3, but less than 5... say 3-4), with just 1-2 variants, rather than like some where we had 6 variants :P Even if we just had couple head and weapon choices, I'd be happier than no choices at all tbh. Otherwise, all sound good :)

2020-12-02 23:12:35 +0000 UTCThe model quality has been awesome so I will gladly trade in the varients for more models so long as they are about the same quality as the previous models have been.
