Some extra information you should know:
- I will never send you something by e-mail, I only use Patreon DMs, which is a private, confidential and secure system owned by a global enterprise
- I only use trusted sharing file platforms such as WeTransfer and/or MediaFire
- I don't use personalized links for each patron
- Patreon only shares with Creators e-mail and name/nickname
Some tips using Patreon:
- If you don't feel comfortable don't use your personal e-mail
- If you don't feel comfortable don't use your real name
- If you don't feel comfortable don't use a picture of yourself
- If you don't feel comfortable don't share personal information with anybody

Yes, I started to make patron exclusive content, but I don't have plans to do it for all of my creations. I apologize if I haven't been clear enough about my exclusive content, it's something I'm working on, because it's true you deserve transparency.
As many others have already said, if you're using meshes 100% made by yourself, the paywall is not an issue, and at the end of the day, each creator is responsible for how they're going to distribute their own work.
Lastly, I would also like to remind you that I have at least 13 free CC packs + other kinds of free downloads, and I'm still working on more free content.

2022-04-24 18:04:34 +0000 UTCUntil Patreon doesn't have better tools to manage specific content for different pledges, sending a link is now the best way to do that. It is not easy for me as well, I would 100% prefer something easier but well, it's what it is right now. Btw DMed content is very common around creators on Patreon, not only in the Sims creator community like Designers, Writers, Critics, etc. I am myself a patron of a few of them and I've never had any issue, and I don't see anything suspicious about receiving content on my inbox.

I don't think you are necessarily doing the same thing, but a statement like this does not put me at ease. I think it's fair for simmers not to trust DMed download links, and not using email does not mean we're protected. If you're going to have exclusive gifts, fine, whatever, people can choose to support or not on their own. But the DMing links thing seems sketchy and a little scummy.
