Back from the Dead - Animatic & thoughts on Audio

Here's the animatic for Back from the Dead. Very basic as usual. My approach for solo videos is to get everything down as quickly as possible, not being precious about anything so that any idea can be changed or dumped,
Increasingly the longest stage in pre-production is the audio, where I solve the big problems with timing, and aim to construct it as a radio play. This is really where the main structure falls into place and the goal is to make it entertaining with no visuals at all. I figure if it works well with audio only, I'm not fighting during the filming, animating, compositing to keep the pace moving. So often a shot doesn't live up to my vision but the audio continues to carry a sequence.
Gotta say I think audio is the most underrated tool for starting animators. A piece of good stock music can instantly get you mood, atmosphere, timing, an entire structure that you would otherwise have to laboriously build from scratch through visual means. You can save yourself a lot of time but focusing on great audio early.
