Additionally you probably will need a beater to smooth out any rough edges and a couple few pieces of dump plywood would be nice and of course some shit to put on top on C-Can to help hold things down. PS get yourself some Vitamin E and dap that on your burns and whatever you do don’t let your hand get infected otherwise it could match your leg and you don’t want that. Do you want to make a Rain Cap sound freaking awesome keep your eyes open for some steel that you can harden. I am not sure the exact grade but years back I found some 3/16 or so sheet steel that had been hardened and when I hit it again another piece of it sounded disgusting which meant it was the perfect steel to make rain caps out of. Anyway I found enough steel to a pair of rain caps which I drew up in AutoCad and a buddy of mine cut everything out for me on his water jet table for a case of beer. He also modified my design so that instead of a nut and bolt to hold the flap to pipe with a bearing.

But there are guys who sell used and new wave parts. You can get nice leathermans for 40-50 without a sheath. With a leather or nylon sheath they are 70-80 and you may get lucky and find one barely used with any scratches. I like the patent pending ones that first came out cause they are smaller. 1st and second gen wave parts will not interchange with each other.
