Update #32

Hi everyone,
I’m tremendously excited to have an unexpected update!
I’m not sure how many know this, but I’m a member of the Romance Writers of America, which is the national organization founded to further the interests of the Romance genre. Some months back, the RWA established two new awards referred to as Diamond Hearts (for published authors) and Golden Hearts (for unpublished authors).
The Diamond Heart is given to authors who have “mastered the craft of romance writing” and to “champion authors whose writing redefines the contours of the romance genre, contributing to a literary world where ‘happily ever afters’ or ‘happy for nows’ are for everyone.”
The contest had hundreds of entrants, and I was one of them. The official word dropped today: His Orc Charioteer Bride is one of four FINALISTS in the Speculative category!
When the RWA President called to tell me, I was deliriously happy (and a little gobsmacked). Anyone who knows me knows how much I advocate for the “trad market,” and it was wonderful seeing the community I love acknowledge that novels like HOCB are not only good for Romance, they deserve to stand at the highest level.
It’s a bit of a dream, and I’ll be savoring it until the awards ceremony in January. To those of you who loved HOCB, please send some positive energy for our chances. Honestly, I already feel like a winner getting to the final round!
I say it a lot, but it bears repeating: I’m grateful to each and every one of you who have supported me along the way. HOCB wouldn't exist without you.
Here’s to HEAs, strong orc women, caravan driving men, my patrons, and the Romance for Men community! Cheers! 🎉

2024-11-13 01:47:54 +0000 UTCThank you for that! FYI, I'm still planning to release physical copies of every book. I'll probably undertake the first around the time I release my next KU novel.

2024-11-13 01:45:21 +0000 UTCMan, when I read Charlotte's Reject (which I devoured), I IMMEDIATELY jumped to His Orc Charioteer Bride. Both had blown me away. I don't know how you do it, but your books are easily, easily my top favorites in the entire RFM genre. I can speak for us all when I say that I am VERY eagerly waiting for your next work. I would love to buy physical copies if those ever roll around. Very big congratulations to you sir, very well done and very well deserved. 😃
