Guide Map for New Patrons

Hello and welcome! If you've become a patron, this is a great place to start exploring. Here's an overview of what's currently available on my page:

First up is a download of “Cleigh Moran and the Dancing Man,” an urban fantasy short story. I wrote this years ago and revised it extensively for its Patreon debut. This present-day tale follows a somewhat impetuous investigator who hunts down renegades from a hidden magical society. His tools include a dangerous artifact from the First World War and a very unusual partner.

Find the download here!

The file format is EPUB, which I chose due to the ease in formatting and the availability of free EPUB readers and browser extensions. If you use Kindle, you can email the file to enable access: https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle/email

I have two other Cleigh Moran stories that I'd like to share in the future, so let me know if you enjoy this first outing!

Next we have a project that is near-and-dear to me: Blood and Lace, my female vampire/male hunter story.

In Blood and Lace, vampires are so deadly that hunters have to go after them with paramilitary operations. When Nicholas comes across a beautiful vampire in a wedding dress—seemingly rendered helpless—he can’t bring himself to stake her. That decision changes the course of his life. If you like your heroines on the lethal side, you’ll enjoy this story!

In total there are 29 chapters and about 75,000 words of content, amounting to Book 1 (of 2). Blood and Lace is only the first half of the story, but it's my fervent hope that this page will change that! Once enough patrons clamor for it, I'll take a slug of liquid courage and finish this epic love tale. In the meantime, there are plenty of great romantic moments between Nicholas and Della, and you won't be left in relationship purgatory when the book is over.

Charlotte's Reject is no longer available on the Patreon. It was my first experiment in creating a new serialized story for the Patreon, and it worked out better than I could have hoped! Charlotte's Reject now exists as a full-length novel sold by Amazon and on Kindle Unlimited. An up-to-date link can be found in the Collection placeholder.

Set in the same universe as Charlotte's Reject, Sunglasses in the Rain is an ongoing serialized story set around the tiny hamlet of Drywell, Kansas. It concerns Mel, a mysterious storm chaser who's never without a pair of sunglasses, and Cal, the curious gas station manager who forms a connection with her. As their attraction grows, Cal begins to think she may be a shifter...but he's unprepared for the reality of Mel's other life.

Sunglasses in the Rain is being updated with new chapters every other week, and is expected to be a novel-length story.

My first Romantic Suspense, Opposites Distract is an ongoing serialized story of thrilling intrigue. Set in the modern world, it follows Liv and Edgar, two elite agents for a private investigations firm. They've gone undercover to solve a tricky case of corporate sabotage, but their foe—and their mutual attraction—creates unexpected difficulties.

Opposites Distract is being updated with new chapters every other week, and is expected to be a novel-length story.

“Late Night Date Night” is unique and unusual, a novelette-length experiment in superhero romance.

Despite their popularity, superheroes don’t show up in print very often. It’s hard to meld the power of prose with the style of comics—but I gave it a heroic effort! The result was a surprisingly cozy story unfolding over one summer night. It almost feels like a contemporary romance…except for the secretive heroine and the epistolary interludes that reveal a world that is anything but ordinary.

This series is now available in its entirety. It also includes a detailed essay on how it came about and why I wrote it—a first for the page!

This short romance has a strange origin: I wrote most of it while waiting in line for rides at Disney World!

Swipe Fright is set in contemporary times with a fantasy twist. It's about a human named Harry, an orc named Olive, and the sweet aftermath of a disastrous blind date caused by a mysterious dating app.

Uploaded to celebrate hitting 50 subscribers, Mecha Kiss is a preview chapter of a sci-fi story featuring giant robots. If you want a taste of how I write sci-fi, give this a look!

Finally, losing a bet on the Romance for Men Discord server prompted me to write an unusual sneak peek: the entire prologue to The Queen's Archer, a long simmering project described as a "reverse Mulan."

Taking place in my Adamant World setting (the same universe as His Orc Charioteer Bride), “The Burial of Mercy Gap” introduces us to the ancient Kingdom of Grivene on the day it's invaded by a terrifying foe.

That wraps up the tour! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see what I was up to. If you haven't already, I hope you’ll consider becoming a patron. I wish I could offer some celebratory food, but there still isn't a way to download funnel cakes and corndogs (yet).
