Partial transcript of police interrogation obtained by The Donnel Standard, as reported by Lynn Rainey. Subject is Johnnie “Little” Biggs, a mid-level enforcer with the Milli crime syndicate. The interrogating officer's identity has been withheld.
Biggs: Why the hell am I even here? I’m the victim.
Detective: Sure you are.
Biggs: I’m a business man. My place of business was attacked. Don’t that mean nothing to you, [redacted]?
Detective: Which business? The copy repair business like it says on the sign, or the drug-dealing business we found in your basement?
Biggs: Ask my lawyer about that. I don’t have no knowledge about no drugs.
Detective: Well, while we wait for your lawyer, how about we talk about the attacker, seeing as how you’re a victim and all. [long silence] What? Don’t you want to report the assault?
Biggs: Yeah. I just… [unintelligible muttering]
Detective: What was that?
Biggs: I said I don’t want to talk about her. [Case notes mention the subject crosses himself here; Biggs is a practicing Catholic.] Just…skip it.
Detective: Her? So it was a woman?
Biggs: I don’t know what it was.
Detective: C’mon Biggs, you haven’t shut up since the cuffs went on. I’ve got ten more guys to talk to after you, and that’s not counting the ones in the hospital. If you want us to investigate you have to cooperate. This woman…she a super of some sort?
Biggs: I dunno. I remember seeing this…lady. And then the dark. It covered her. Came out of her. Like some horror movie. Eddie was closest. The dark took him. Just…he was just gone. [Suspect is referring to Edward Barnes, a known associate. Barnes is still listed in critical condition at Nielson Hospital.]
Detective: [to partner] Make a note. She’s a super.
Biggs: She ain't no super! That lady is a goddamn nightmare.
