You must have gotten some bad Chevys, my 99' with 260k+ miles runs like a clock, it's got the original engine - 4.8, and transmission - 4L60E and she'll shit and got, I had the rear diff rebuilt though at 235k miles because it was going to take a hike pretty soon and upgraded from a 1 tire fire to a Yukon Dura grip posi so I can have a little fun. I think anything made after 06 is straight garbage they've all got that AFM and DOD and all that other environmental bullshit that is totally unnecessary. Hell my old girl don't even smoke and I beat the brakes out of her pretty regularly she's never left me stranded either
