Hi guys, thank you so much for being patient with me. I hope you're all gearing up to SAFELY enjoy your 3-day weekends. It took me awhile, but I have some updates for you.
First off, to new patrons
Wow, hi! I’m really happy you came to support me. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel wrong accepting monetary support when I haven’t provided a service to you last month though. And I know and understand [why] some folks would be offended if they suddenly received funds from me out of nowhere. So if you’d like a refund based on the premise that you thought I’d be making art last month, DM me. I’d be more than happy to return it to you :).

You turned your social back on!
Yeah, turned Twitter back on a few days ago and DA I just turned on yesterday. I realized (quite late) that I’d be losing my messages from old and new friends if I let the accounts get deactivated. DA is where I met some of my closest friends, and Twitter is where I met a lot of industry folks, so those DMs mean a lot to me - way more than the art does. Twitter went back to normal, but while I got my Notes (DMs) back on DA it looks like I lost my portfolio. So I may be creating a new DA account soon.
Did you draw last month?
I tried a few times, but there was a huge mental roadblock so I really couldn’t make anything. This is the only thing I could make, and even this was hard to do.
Did you do anything last month?
June was very stressful so not for most of the month, though late June I did take up SUP - Standup Paddleboarding - and got hooked. It was extremely helpful in getting me out of my funk and opened up a whole new world for me. If I ever get a chance to meet any Zoot friends IRL I’d love to teach you guys <3.
I also got another animatic idea a week ago while out on the water because not even racism can stop my brain from thinking about animation.
Does that mean you'll be staying?
I did intend on leaving...but after a month of kinda finding my resolve, I thought that it's not fair allowing myself to be bullied out of doing something I liked to do. The ideas slowly started coming back, and while I have to play catch-up with my skills I'm simply not done drawing Zootopia (because I'm a nerd like that). I might be slow to post, and still have messages to respond to (I'm trying to take the Koraru-san Approach), but I'm trying :).
What happened to the trolls?
Long story short, the law dealt with them. They gradually took it too far and squirrels do bite.
Final words
Again, all I can say is thank you. Thank you for your support, thank you for your messages, your beautiful art, your understanding and for making me cry <3. I said it before and I'll say it again - you guys are the reason why I've stuck around this fandom for so long. I've learned so much and made so many great friends and connections and still have so many ideas that you're stuck with me for a little longer - #sorrynotsorry :). Yes, the world is not always sunshine and rainbows...but, I will say that the fandom’s support was WAY more than what I thought it’d be - I was prepared to be kicked out for drama or other reasons. But that wasn’t fair, there were already so many people who were nice to me from the beginning. But fear works sometimes. ANYWAY, I’m happy I didn’t leave and hope to have nice art to share with you all!

I'll admit, this thought did occur to me when you made the initial announcements of your departure, but it seemed like you had your mind made up and I didn't want to say anything and seem to pressure you into something you didn't want to do.
