I started out in February with an iPad and what I'd recently learned via Udemy.com wanting only to make artwork specifically for Zootopia. Most of you, whom I met on dA, warmly welcomed me and constantly encouraged me to create; many of you were also my biggest encouragers in making this Patreon account. Here, the money collected not only helps me in my day-to-day, but also helps me gain knowledge and access to the tools of the trade. I never expected to get as much support as I have.
With the help of you awesome folks, I've been able to finally invest in my progress. I'd wanted the "Drafttable for iPad Pro" - a kit that helps the iPad operate more like a Cintiq - for several months to relieve my back from months of hunching, and this weekend it finally came in the mail (shipping anything remotely tech-related from the US to Japan results in hefty shipping prices). It's been a HUGE relief! Thanks to you, I'm also able to attend SIGGRAPH Asia in Tokyo - my first art/animation conference. This is extremely personal and important to me because not only is this being held in Tokyo this year, but there will be keynote speakers from Pixar the entire week of the event. To have several chances to actually hear and learn from these talented people is a dream I never thought was feasible. That is a huge gift you guys have been able to give to me, and I am immensely grateful.

I wanted to do the same, but the schooling was too expensive. I sincerely hope that you'll continue on with it and give it your all. You just need to believe. Also, I loved your fox animation on DA!

I'm also an entry-level artist doing the course I've been working towards for an entire decade, the Bachelor of Arts in Animation course at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology. With people like you, I'm heavily inspired and motivated to pursue my dream of helping to create pieces of animation that will live in the hearts of many for years to come. Y'know, I'd even say that if there's a certain animation project I'm apart of that would spark your fancy, I'd invite you to be apart of it too! Have a good one yourself, Qal!
