Actually, the word the subtitles translated as "flattered" should really have been translated as "happy". She said, "Ureshii desu," which just means that she's happy. I don't think the "flattered" translation fits her personality at all, but perhaps it works for an American audience. I have to keep reminding myself it's translated into American-English, not English, when the subtitles start to bug me lol
