Friday Favourites 👻 Ep. 7

Hey guys! I hope you've all had a great week❤️ Actually got out of the house and saw my friends a few times this week so that was nice. Both times ended up at a cocktail bar drinking tea cocktails, my new hobby apparently haha. Today I filmed a little vlog with Mark, we went on the hunt for a gatcha that I had my eye on! (And stopped by his place to say hi to Purin) I'll be spending tomorrow editing that so it should be up in the next couple days!

As for new things I've discovered this week:

LAKE MUNGO. Thank you so much to those of you that recommended I watch it! It was so good! Disappointed in myself for not hearing about it until now. Certainly an underrated movie that deserves more attention. It's the story of a family that loses their daughter, and begins experiencing inexplicable events in their home, ultimately leading them to Lake Mungo where the horrifying story starts to finally piece itself together.  I tried to find a website where I could purchase it to watch but it's quite hard to find unfortunately. If you're an American it's available to rent on Amazon, but it won't let anyone with a credit card from outside of America purchase it. Good news is: it's available to watch on YouTube! While the quality isn't the best, it's certainly watchable. So if you're looking to creep yourself out a little bit, give it a watch! Some really unsettling scenes that I can't get out of my mind.

If you'd like something a little less creepy, Never Have I Ever is a really cute coming of age comedy-drama television series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. The comedy is partially based on Kaling's real childhood story, growing up in the Boston area. Really enjoyed it and can't wait for a season two!

That's all from me, let me hear what you've been enjoying this week in the comments! :D

Enjoying the enclosed deck at night. My two cats love it.

Dude! Lake Mungo! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D There really aren't many found footage/docudrama horror films quite like it. It's played so straight and with such an exceptional degree of realism, thanks to the lack of typical horror tropes and some of the most believable acting I've ever seen. I'm worried about posting spoilers, but, that bit filmed by Alice herself on her phone by the lakeshore... chills me to my core!
