Behind the scenes of my newest video...

So the conversation started off pretty normal, we walked in and started browsing his shop. He made some standard conversation like “What characters do you like? Oh how about this one, it’s a rare figure!” etc. I eventually asked him if it would be all right to film some shots of his shop for my YouTube video, and showed him my channel. He said “Oh that’d be great advertisement for the shop! But my wife would kill me.......” and went on to explain that his wife hates anything about his shop being posted online. He said I could film some shots only if I promise to make it look like I did it sneakily without his permission so his wife wouldn’t get mad at him😂 He told me he was an avid Batman collector and went behind the counter to pull out some Batman posters he had designed himself to promote the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics. “I really want you to show these off on your Instagram! But my wife...... I don’t know what to do. If you hashtag it #nakanobroadway do you think she’d be able to find the post on google?” I told him it was a possibility and we probably shouldn’t risk it. He reallllly wanted me to share the photo with you guys so I told him as long as we don’t hashtag it with anything his wife would be searching for we should be fine. He seemed pretty excited and I gave him my email in case she did find the post and wanted it removed😂 He mentioned that often girls will come into the shop and tell him he’s pretty cool for an older guy and ask to touch his muscles (lol). But he made a point of telling me that even though he enjoyed the attention he would never cheat on his wife. I said “Aw that’s pretty rare in Japan, you guys sound like a really good couple!” He said “Yeah, she’s great but we stopped having sex when we turned 45.” with a disappointed look on his face. “That’s too bad” I said, “Why’d you do that?” “Well, our bodies just aren’t as nice as they used to be when we were young you know... it’s pretty common in Japan.” At this point some other Japanese customers had come into the shop and had overheard our conversation. I could hear them talking to each other and wondering why the fuck this shop owner was telling this to 2 foreign girls😂 (To be fair we were both wondering the same thing.) He told us his wife takes swimming lessons and there are hot guys in her class, so she gets enough male attention there so the lack of sex doesn’t cause any problems in their relationship. “Well if it works for both of you that’s great!” We said and tried to change the subject back to Godzilla😅 He offered us a deal on the stuff we were shopping for and some freebies and we were off. He greeted us at the door and said to come back and visit soon. I’m curious what the next conversation will be like😂
