Reno Redeux (part 3)
Added 2019-07-11 17:11:31 +0000 UTCI figured I should let Patrons / Followers know first - but plans of moving back to Reno are being solidified as we speak.
What this means is that I'll be working a FT job again as a veterinary assistant (10+ work days) - weekends off. My work loads will be shortened to meet my time requirements, projects will be taken in at a 3-month basis instead of a monthly.
I'll be doing what I've been intending to do with Patreon and giving specific-tiered Patrons monthly commission slots instead of offering them on Twitter/FA via journals.
Once the Patron-sided commissions will be completed, if I have the free time to do so, I may consider offering them outside of Patreon. But as of right now, I want to give that opportunity to Patrons first and focus on rewarding supporters.
Saying that will also mean that I'll be opening up new tiers starting late Aug/September (when I settle into my schedule and finish my workload) - for anybody wanting something more than a $20 sticker, headshot or doodle. So if anybody felt like upgrading later down the line, there will be an option available for you as well.
If I decide not to do extra commissions outside of Patreon, it would simply mean I would devote my free time to my personal works, which is likely what I'll end up doing as a few of them have been collecting dust for the last few months. In which case, Patrons would get first looks at everything I'd be doing, secretly and non.
(like a dress up game like we used to do in the early flash days... idk why, I just want to make one.)
But yes.
Moving back to Reno by August; Working as an Assistant, Tiered supports will be handled like commission slots, and the One Big Thing:
This is a very physical job that can result in injury.
Injury that can be very difficult to heal from when I continue to do art.
(it triggers and sets off bad bouts of carpal tunnel and tendinitis when I handle dogs over 30lbs)
Though many of you are aware that I have an RSI and intend on surgery later down in my life when it's affordable (or hell, bionic arm would be nice) - but I do want to put this as a disclosure as it can considerably slow me down in terms of art.
I'll be talking to my manager about lessening workload as art is my priority, and making sure I have adequate support and am not left by myself handling a wild 120lb retriever. But, in realness, I'd be a fool to say I wouldn't come home with any injury.
The job is mostly wrestling animals. x)
No hard feelings if anybody intends on dropping out of support, as I fully understand! Slow work is no bueno. But I wanted to let everybody know so there isn't just periods of static white noise and I seemingly disappeared with 1 update per month b/c my wrist is inflamed.
I won't let that happen, but. Still!
