Progress & Thoughs - 08

Hello everyone! Progress has been kinda "slow" lately, more like the stuff I'm working on doesn't produce that much stuff to show.

There was an attempt to make room transition Zelda-like, but sadly I can't make it look good, so I dropped it.

NPCs moving via commands stored in Arrays is working as intended. With this I can make cutscenes where NPCs move around and not just stand still.
And talking about NPCs, the templates are also seeing progress.

Talk animation. For dialogue scenes, or, maybe for NPCs to talk with each other (?)

Attack animations, yes, NPCs can fight! Maybe at some point you have to fight by their side? 

An updated run animation. I made Zoria move her hips, I think it looks better now :D

I'm also using this new attack animations to redo Zoria's, (Bouncy)

A new area (Prologue)
I was tired of only Forest too! This new area for the prologue takes place before you get to the Island. And you'll be able to explore a bit while learning the basics.

Cutscene progress, Chocolo portrait.
This Zoria sleep portrait is so cute and I'm sad I wont be using it more.

A new breakable to stop you.
Spike vines grow everywhere, beware!

Breakable Bamboo cane.
This one doesn't stop you or anything, it's just fun to break stuff. (In games.)

Reworked Eros bags. They now have different animations when falling and hitting ground.
They also have a chance to drop coins when landing.

Chests now have a mount of money that decreases as the money pops out.
Just a small detail.

Breakables update.
I reworked the box sprite, and added a broken version when you break them. So much breakable stuff in this devlog. o.o

Talk about steroids.

Roll sprite rework.
As many other animations that were made long, long ago, I decided to remake this one.

New enemy - Parsels + first concept.
A new enemy joins the troops, this little guys look cute and happy, but they'll eat you if you let them.

I had to change their stick to the other hand in order to make the attack animation.
Made their huts/houses with the bamboo you saw before.
This enemy will be first found in the tutorial area.

They throw rocks at you! They're not that hard to avoid, but It can get hard when there's more than one of them throwing rocks.

I think this is all for now! I made more than I though.
