Once again, Barry crushes it with the digital lettering and pain-stars.

Speaking of lettering: old hand-lettered signs are so flipping stylish! Take a moment to admire this exquisite rendition of banal signage.

(Also take a moment to admire Gordon Parks. There's a ton of his photography online and I browsed it extensively while drawing an upcoming street scene.)

I really like the lettering on "But Please" below. I wanted to copy that for the "vote this way" sign, but wasn't sure how that font would treat a T and a W.

...I looked at photo this the whole time I was drawing the "vote this way" sign and I JUST noticed she's using a gun as a hammer. That goes against my minimal knowledge of firearm safety.

Anyway, it's currently 3 days til BwPCon! The art and lettering for Issue 7 is done and Barry is working on the book layout. We're going to uphold the indie comix tradition of last-minute folding and stapling, but I'm so happy with how everything looks.
