True story, the theater was right between a parking lot and WasabiCon last weekend, so the people-watching was unmatched! Naomi helped me pick out which cosplayers to draw since I'm not as familiar with popular anime characters. The baby Pikachu/Ash Ketchum pairing was a happy accident. The parent was originally just a dad in a baseball cap, but halfway through inking it, I thought it would be cute if he was cosplaying, too. I did need to google "anime character with baseball cap," and was excited that his outfit could turn into a parent/child Pokémon cosplay. The character with horns is my own approximation of the really cool horns and wigs from last weekend.

Before the theater moved downtown, I was worried that new building would be boring to draw. But I actually appreciate it more when I look closely to draw it. ...Also, according to one theater kid, our lobby looks like the mall from Stranger Things.
Life's a little crazy right now (summer camps and weekend shows, taking a class on ClipStudio Paint, petty housemate feuds, looking for a new place [related], and an upcoming 1-day comics fest). I've been trying to do some quick observational drawings when I have a minute.

I found this place on an afternoon bike-ride. They serve coffee til 3pm and beer till late! I half expected a Becky-sized mousetrap to descend when I walked in the door.

I hope you're having a good summer! Thanks, as always, for supporting me on Patreon.
