Let's just say I wasn't happy with my first couple of passes at this page.

Note to self, reference photos are the best. I'm bad about throwing away old shoes, so I had a pair of tall lace-up boots and some heels in the back of my closet. Taking photos in the mirror really helped with drawing Lillian's feet at weird angles and suggesting Captain Turtle's aggressive stance in panel 4.

I wasn't prepared to try any faceplanting poses myself (safety first), but the internet is full of photos and videos of athletic mishaps, as well as weird stock photos of people in business suits doing just about anything.

As for panel 1, you may be surprised to learn that this gal isn't an expert on punching:

I borrowed Captain Turtle's pose from this page from How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way, drawn by John Buscema:

I also wasn't sure how to fit both Captain Turtle and Lillian into panel 1. It looked like Captain Turtle was lifting Lillian off the ground or something. I thought "What Would Barry Do," since he usually comes up with the unique page layouts. I tried drawing Lillian running out of the panel borders, and it worked. Thanks, Barry!
