Does it count as slapstick when everyone narrowly avoids bumping into anything? The poses were really fun, but drawing the exact same background four times was a combination of boring and stressful. I copy-pasted the digital pencils, and it still felt hard to draw the panels consistently. I ended up inking the background in 15-minute increments because I'd get restless.
I needed the body language to be really clear, so I asked my housemate to take a bunch of reference photos:
I was planning to get back into a rhythm of working on several pages at a time, all in different phases of production (rough drawing, digital pencils, ink. I got this far on page 180...
...when Barry reminded me that we'd talked about turning pages 180-181 into a double-page spread and he was going to rewrite the script so I shouldn't do any work on it yet. D'oh!
